CHARACTER SPECIFICATIONS DESIGNED BY ME
CHALLENGES
Problem
Early in the internship I had a lot of trouble familiarizing myself with all the data sets provided. Careless mistakes were made in both data entry and writing the character's news.
Solution
I became more competent in inputting the data over the next few weeks which resulted in the significant decline of errors. I had also created an automated text generator for myself using Microsoft Excel to help me with creating character news. Which directly translates the skill identification number into text format that is used for writing the character's news.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I was really lucky to be interning when the Tokyo Ghoul collaboration was still in its infancy stage. I got the opportunity to give my personal inputs regarding the design direction for the character sets in terms of how the character specifications of Brave Frontier can mirror that of the character skills in Tokyo Ghoul. As an Anime fan myself I was super pumped and delighted when my design inputs were implemented.
It was also exciting to see how the player base reacted towards the characters which I had designed. I was really elated that they were willing to spend the time and effort, obtaining and enhancing them. That fills me with an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. I could not stop grinning.
